Welcome back to the in person Southend Business Partnership Briefing! The September briefing will see us discuss ‘Think Global, Act Local’.

About this event

It has been long since we last enjoyed the bustling networking time over a coffee and croissant. We are glad that we are now able to offer the opportunity again- hope you can join us!

While everyone has been focusing on the post-COVID recovery recently we have indeed planned this event to support the business endeavour.

The briefing will start with an-hour marketplace networking session (7:30-8:30am) where you have the opportunity to speak to our exhibitors and fellow networkers. FREE refreshment on arrival from 7:30am. Confirmed stalls are:

  1. BEST Growth Hub
  2. Low Carbon Across South East (LoCASE) 2
  3. South East Business Boost (SEBB)
  4. It’s Local Southend Business Directory
  5. The Hive Enterprise Centre
  6. Southend Town Centre Intervention Projects
  7. Totally Locally Southend on Sea
  8. Skills Support at Economic Development Team

The briefing session will start at 8:30am, with a range of exciting speakers (subject to change, and may not be in the right order):

  • Kazadi Mwamba, Principal Economic Growth Officer at Essex County Council , on the SEED (South East Export Development) project;
  • Cliff Marshall, CEO at Essex Scientific Laboratory Supplies Ltd, on their journey to become an Export Champion;
  • Alan Richards, Interim Executive Director (Growth and Housing) at Southend on Sea Borough Council, on Southend High Street Regeneration/Victoria Shopping Centre update; and
  • David Elcock, Community Champion, on Totally Locally Southend on Sea – virtual High Street.

The briefing session will be chaired by Murray Foster, and there will be a Q & A at the end of session.
