Join the panel of experts for guidance on navigating the current economic landscape as an SME.

On the 23 March 2021, it will be one year since the United Kingdom went into lockdown. The event will offer an overview of the challenges facing businesses today as well as practical advice on how to take action.

Event information

In partnership with Growth Hubs across the South East , ICAEW are collaborating with the Hertfordshire LEP, London Economic Action Partnership and South East LEP to produce this event. The event will be chaired by Harpreet Panesar, ICAEW’s Regional Director for London & East with expert speakers. They will provide an overview of the general challenges to SMEs and their workforce including VAT, EU transition and mental health & well-being. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at various points in the event.

There are going to be two expert sessions, one on VAT and the second one on rebuilding finance, managing late payments and mental health and wellbeing.

The speakers are:

  • Jason Croke, Director – VAT, Rayner Essex
  • Paul Sullivan, UK Network, Senior Manager, British Business Bank
  • Neil Cowley, Office of the Small Business Commissioner
  • Neil Wood, Health & Wellbeing Programme Manager, Public Health England
