Elevate Your Business Competition

Launching this autumn Elevate is a new competition designed to help start-up and scale-up businesses digitally elevate their businesses. Businesses are invited to enter by sharing their long-term goals. Ten businesses will then be chosen to each win a package of support to the value of £1000.

Funded by the BEST Growth Hub and delivered by Best Start In Business (BSIB) who will support the businesses with their online presence. According to its own research, BSIB found that many businesses struggle to achieve or maintain this due to the often-associated high price tags.

Prizewinners will work with BSIB to determine what level of support they require to elevate their business to the next level. There are three tiers of elevation tools which include but are not limited to:

• Business model canvas
• Company vision and mission
• Brand guidelines
• Company email address & professional signature
• Full Google Workspace setup & training
• Custom company website
• Business listings
• Essential digital tools – CRM, Project Management
• Online & in person training
• Business card design

Elevate is free to enter to Essex-based businesses (including those in Southend & Thurrock) with start-up and scale-up businesses just asked to fill out a short questionnaire online.

The competition launches 23 October 2023 and the deadline for entries closes 5pm 6 December 2023.

The shortlist will be announced w/c 11 December 2023 and finalists contacted by BSIB throughout the remainder of December.

The winners will begin work with BSIB in January 2024 and announcements made in the media December onwards.

The BEST Growth Hub engages and enables support for businesses across the economic area, encompassing Essex County Council, Southend Unitary Authority, and Thurrock Unitary Authority. Businesses will have benefit from free and impartial business advice, access to local and national business support services including a range of services aimed at supporting growth and success as well as helping local businesses facing the current cost-of-living challenges.
