BEST Growth Hub, the power behind Essex’s NOVO Awards, today announced that R&D Advisors is the new headline sponsor of its ground-breaking business awards.
R&D Advisors is an established Chelmsford-based organisation that specialises in helping SMEs achieve HMRC tax credits – which in turn can help stimulate businesses to invest in innovative products and processes. It was the NOVO Awards’ focus on innovation that motivated the fast-growing company to jump onboard as headline sponsor. Having already helped over 500 clients successfully claim for R&D-related tax relief, the company recognised the synergy of the research and development aspects of innovation together with the NOVO Awards, which celebrate and reward innovation.

The NOVO Awards were launched in 2021, by the BEST Growth Hub, to celebrate innovation in Essex. Businesses of all sizes (including start-ups and sole traders) were able to enter the NOVO Awards from May-July 2021. A plethora of entries were received from businesses across the county. The NOVO Awards are currently being marked, by an expert judging panel, to ascertain Essex’s most innovative businesses. Not only rewarding commercial success, the NOVO Awards take into account how ethical the innovation’s roadmap was and what legacy it will create for Essex’s economy.
The NOVO Awards culminate with a black tie, celebratory dinner at Braxted Park on 21 October 2021 – set to be Essex’s largest and most glamourous business event, post-lockdown. Winners will be presented with their artisan-made NOVO award at the event, set in the Essex countryside.
All NOVO Awards’ winners receive a complimentary ticket for the dinner. Non-winners wishing to attend may also buy tickets for the event for £75+VAT per ticket, or 4 tickets at the discounted price of £225+VAT. It will be an opportunity to glam up, but more importantly, it’s a chance to shine a spotlight on Essex’s most dynamic businesses. With a large group of businesspeople in attendance the NOVO Awards’ dinner will be a super networking event and an opportunity to showcase Essex’s innovative achievements.
